Hey, I’m Jono — a Registered Architect and the founder of Ailtire.

I’m a husband and a dad to two kids and two dogs. Most weekends you’ll find me sketching with my daughter, coaching my son’s rugby team, tinkering with my 1978 Mini, or chipping away at a 1964 Oxford caravan I’m turning into a mobile studio.

I’ve been a practising architect for 17 years, designing everything from residential renovations to multi-level commercial projects, and a whole lot in between. Whatever the scale, I believe great architecture begins with listening. Not just to your ideas, but to how you live, what you value, and what you’re aiming to achieve. Before anything is drawn, we sit down, talk it through, and map out how we can bring your vision to life.

That’s why I started Ailtire. To create a practice built on genuine collaboration. For me, architecture isn’t just about the building at the end, it’s about the conversations, the problem-solving, and the relationships formed along the way. When that’s done well, the outcome is a space that feels intentional and right for the people it’s made for.
